Director : Shri Tapan Ray holds B.Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering from I.I.T. Delhi, Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy (International Affairs) from Princeton University, USA, Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade (International Business), Diploma in Environmental Laws, Diploma in Diplomacy (International Law), Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University, USA and a Degree in International Law.

Prior to joining Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC), Shri Tapan Ray held the prestigious position of Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Gujarat. He has more than 27 years of rich and varied experience of managing key portfolios in Revenue Department, Education Department, Home Department, Power Ministry, Planning, Science and Technology, Textile, Defence and Finance.

Director : Shri J P Gupta is a B.E. (Mechanical) and has done M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He is an IAS officer having vast administrative and corporate experience. He has worked at various senior positions such as Dist Dev. Officer, Municipal Commissioner etc. Presently, he is working as Commissioner of Health & Secretary (PH & FW), Health and Family Welfare Department.

Prof. T. P. Rama Rao

Director : Prof. T.P. Rama Rao is a retired faculty member of the Information Systems Area (ISA) at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) and has been associated with the Institute since 1972 , joining the institute after his Masters in Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He is a Fellow of the Computer Society of India and Senior Member of IEEE.

During the tenure of nearly 40 years at IIMA, Prof. Rama Rao was consultant to several government, industry and international agencies in the areas of computerization and enterprise wide application strategies, selection of systems and solution providers, introduction of software development methodologies, and design and implementation of decision support models. Prof. Rama Rao chaired several academic-administration committees of the institute and contributed extensively to teaching, research and consulting in the area of computer applications in management. As coordinator of Center for Electronic Governance (CEG) at IIMA, he conducted several research and knowledge dissemination activities of the CEG, guided proof-of-concept projects and evaluated e-Governance projects.

CEO : Shri V K Sharma holds a degree in Law, Master of Commerce and is a Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Indian Institute of Materials Management, Institute of Marketing and Management, Corporate Member of National Institute of Personnel Management and Member of All India Management Association. He has wide administrative and corporate experience of about 33 years. He has worked with A V Birla group and Reliance group as Vice President for more than 9 years. He was Executive Director Finance with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation for 6 years and is on deputation to GIPL as CEO since June 2005.

CSR Activities as specified under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 are as follows:

  • Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, promoting preventive health care and sanitation and making available safe drinking water;
  • Promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects;
  • Promoting gender equality, empowering women, setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes, day care centres and such other facilities for senior citizens and measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups;
  • Ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agro-forestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water;
  • Protection of natural heritage, art and culture including restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of art ; setting up public libraries; promotion and development of traditional arts and handicrafts.
  • Measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows and their dependents.
  • Training to promote rural sports, nationally recognized sports, Paralympics sports and Olympic sports;
  • Contribution of the Prime minister’s National Relief Fund or any other fund set up by the Central Government for socio-economic development and relief and welfare of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, minorities and women;
  • Contributions or funds provided by technology incubators located within academic institutions which are approved by Central Government;
  • Rural development projects.
