It is a matter of proud and prestige for all of us that GIPL has won 9th eINDIA Award for Innovative use of ICT. There were about 284 nominations out of which GIPL was considered and adjudged one of the deserving contestant for this award by the jury consisting eminent personalities from the industry and government. GIPL has developed a Tablet base software application for Gujarat Agriculture department for implementation of “Talavadi (Pond) Subsidy scheme”. With the help of this software the periphery & Photo of Pond will be depicted along with the survey number and Latitude & Longitude through GPS and the photo will be uploaded at Central Server through GPRS on line. This award was presented at the 9th eINDIA Conference held on23-24th July, 2013 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad. Honorable Chief Minister of AP, Shri N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, was the Chief Guest and Shri K.S. Rao, Minister for Textile, Govt of India, Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister- IT, Govt of AP and Mr. J.Satyanarayana Secretary- DeITy Govt of India were Guest of Honour. AMBAJI: Ambaji is an important temple town with millions of devotees visiting the Ambaji temple every year. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. . The Temple of Ambaji is recognized as one of the original Shakti Pithas (religious texts) where, according to the ancient Scriptures, the heart of the goddess Ambaji fell to earth when her body was dismembered. DAKOR: Dakor in Kheda District of Gujarat is prominent for its grand temple of Shree Krishna which have a historical significance. Dakor Krishna is known Ranchhodrai. It is said that he ran away from battle when Kalyavan attacked him as an ally of Jarasandh. So Krishna is called Ranchhodrai - one who ran away from the battle. SOMNATH: The Someshwar Mahadev temple stands tall among the temples of India. The construction of the present temple in Junagadh district began in 1950. It is the seventh temple built to commemorate the glory of Lord Somnath who was known as Bhairaveshwar. The pinnacle rides to a height of 155 feet. The kalash atop the shikhar weighs 10 tonnes. The flag- mast is 37 feet long. DWARKA: Dwarka (Jamnagar district) in ancient Anarta (Saurashtra) was the capital of Lord Krishna\\\'s terrestrial kingdom. The Dwarkadhish temple (also known as Jagat temple) and its Sikhar rises to 170 feet. The pataka or flag of the temple is changed three times a day. The five-storied temple stands on 60 pillars. The pilgrims enter the temple by Swarg Dwar (the gateway of heaven) and leave by Moksh Dwar (the gateway of salvation).The temple has rich carvings It is one of the important moksh dhams.
