It is a matter of proud and prestige for all of us that GIPL has won 9th eINDIA Award for Innovative use of ICT.

It is a matter of proud and prestige for all of us that GIPL has won 9th eINDIA Award for Innovative use of ICT. There were about 284 nominations out of which GIPL was considered and adjudged one of the deserving contestant for this award by the jury consisting eminent personalities from the industry and government. GIPL has developed a Tablet base software application for Gujarat Agriculture department for implementation of “Talavadi (Pond) Subsidy scheme”. With the help of this software the periphery & Photo of Pond will be depicted along with the survey number and Latitude & Longitude through GPS and the photo will be uploaded at Central Server through GPRS on line. This award was presented at the 9th eINDIA Conference held on23-24th July, 2013 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad. Honorable Chief Minister of AP, Shri N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, was the Chief Guest and Shri K.S. Rao, Minister for Textile, Govt of India, Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister- IT, Govt of AP and Mr. J.Satyanarayana Secretary- DeITy Govt of India were Guest of Honour. GIPL has won 7th NTA ICT World Communication Award for - Excellence in Innovative Telecom Services

News It is a matter of proud and prestige that GIPL has won 7th NTA ICT World Communication Award for -Excellence in Innovative Telecom Services consecutively 2nd year in row.

This award was jointly hosted with ATIE and India Global ICT Forum on7th May, 2013 at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi. The award was presented by: Dr. Hamadoun I.Toure, Secretary General, ITU Prof. Tim Unwin, Secretary General, CTO Mr. Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Communications & IT Dr. Farooq Abdulla, Union Minister of MNRE Dr. Mukul Sangma, Chief Minster, Meghalaya Mr Eusebo SaideMr M F Farooqui, IAS, Secretary DOT GOI Mr. R Chandra Shekher IAS (Retired) Ex- Secretary DOT GOI Mr. Virat Bhatia, President FICCI Mr. Rajat Sharma –Secretary CMAI Mr. N K Goyal – President CMAI There were about 25 Ambassadors/Governors were also present from various countries. The Awards were officially supported by Department of Telecommunications, Department of Electronics & IT,Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and AICTE. GIPL Won National UP Education Awards -2013

It is a matter of proud and prestige for GSPC group employees that GIPL has won the following two most prestigious “National UP Education Awards -2013”

-Best Software Application Development for Universities -Best Software Application Development for Education Board GIPL has developed complete concept to convocation software for Universities & for Gujarat Higher Secondary Education boardcomprising School, Teacher & Student Registration and successfully hosting the Result of 12th & 10th Classes managing about 200 lacs hits. Both these two applications were selected for award out of 262 nominations. These awards were supported by MTU, AICTE, AIU, Govt of India MNRE,MSME,NIELIT & ESDM which were presented on 19th August - 2013 at JSS Academy of Technical Education Auditorium Noida. Hon\\\'ble Minister of S&T UP , Shri Abhishek Mishra, was the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were - Prof. S K Kak, VC MTU, - Sanjeev Gupta Director NIELIT, - Prof. S S Mantha Chairman AICTE, - Yogesh Kochhar Director Microsoft, - V K Sharma CEO- GIPL Award Jury Committee was consisting of eminent personalities from Govt & Industries sector. In the past also GIPL has won many awards for such innovative software applications developed by it for various Govt departments.

GIPL bags National Telecom Award for Innovative Telecom Application Services

Guj Info Petro Ltd., the IT arm of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd has been conferred with the National Telecom Award for “Innovative Telecom Application Services”, at the 6th National Telecom

The award was given for the “Mobile based Surveillance & Tracking System” developed by Guj Info Petro Limited. The award was hosted by Communication Multimedia And Infrastructure (CMAI) Association of India. The award was presented by Dr. Hamadoun Toure, Secretary General – International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Geneva and was received by Mr.VK Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, on behalf of GIPL. GIPL was selected from amongst 784 nominations received by CMAI for the Innovative Telecom Application Services Category. GIPL has developed Mobile based software for surveillance and tracking system for Gujarat Forest Department and it has created its presence at national level by providing innovative mobile solutions. GIPL Launched Live E-Darshan Service

GIPL is successfully providing live streaming (E – Darshan) of four major Hindu temples located across Gujarat.

AMBAJI: Ambaji is an important temple town with millions of devotees visiting the Ambaji temple every year. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. . The Temple of Ambaji is recognized as one of the original Shakti Pithas (religious texts) where, according to the ancient Scriptures, the heart of the goddess Ambaji fell to earth when her body was dismembered. DAKOR: Dakor in Kheda District of Gujarat is prominent for its grand temple of Shree Krishna which have a historical significance. Dakor Krishna is known Ranchhodrai. It is said that he ran away from battle when Kalyavan attacked him as an ally of Jarasandh. So Krishna is called Ranchhodrai - one who ran away from the battle. SOMNATH: The Someshwar Mahadev temple stands tall among the temples of India. The construction of the present temple in Junagadh district began in 1950. It is the seventh temple built to commemorate the glory of Lord Somnath who was known as Bhairaveshwar. The pinnacle rides to a height of 155 feet. The kalash atop the shikhar weighs 10 tonnes. The flag- mast is 37 feet long. DWARKA: Dwarka (Jamnagar district) in ancient Anarta (Saurashtra) was the capital of Lord Krishna\\\'s terrestrial kingdom. The Dwarkadhish temple (also known as Jagat temple) and its Sikhar rises to 170 feet. The pataka or flag of the temple is changed three times a day. The five-storied temple stands on 60 pillars. The pilgrims enter the temple by Swarg Dwar (the gateway of heaven) and leave by Moksh Dwar (the gateway of salvation).The temple has rich carvings It is one of the important moksh dhams.
